This is exactly my kind of nonsense. Mixing superheroes and Arthurian mythology is just 100% my jam. So much so that I spent half my time reading this thinking about the King Arthur graphic novel that’s been flitting around in the back of my head for years. I really must get around to writing that…

Ok, so the big question this issue leaves me with is: Are Marvel really going to kill off Dane Whitman and give us a new Black Knight just as the character’s about to make his MCU debut?

On one hand the answer to that question has to be no, but on the other hand, that sounds exactly like something Marvel would do.

And, hey, I’m all for it, because I like Jacks and think she’s make a great Black Knight. And, hey, the entire point of the Black Knight is that the mantle has been handed down for generations. I’d love to see a series exploring the many iterations of the Black Knight that we only get a glimpse of in this issue. Maybe Jacks could go travelling through time in a future series. Maybe in some kind of cross time caper…
